Refund Timelines

Issuing a refund through TurnStay is immediate - but the time it takes for funds to actually reach your guest depends on factors further down the chain. Here’s the full journey, from the moment you click refund to the moment your guest sees it.

InitializedThe refund has been created and is queued for processing
AppliedSubmitted to the payment processor - the reversal is in motion

A refund can fail if the original payment is no longer eligible for reversal - for example, if it has already been fully refunded via a previous transaction. In these cases, the refund status shows Failed and you’ll be notified.
