How FX conversions work
Section titled “How FX conversions work”Whenever you move funds between wallets in different currencies — whether via a transfer, payment, or deposit — TurnStay applies an FX conversion automatically.
You always see the rate before you confirm. The exchange rate and the converted amount are shown upfront on every cross-currency transaction, so there are no surprises.
Once you confirm, the rate is locked in and the transaction proceeds at that rate.
Where FX applies
Section titled “Where FX applies”| Transaction type | FX applied? |
|---|---|
| Transfer between same-currency wallets | No |
| Transfer between different-currency wallets | Yes — rate shown before confirmation |
| Payment to a beneficiary in a different currency | Yes — rate shown before confirmation |
| Fiat deposit into a stablecoin wallet | Yes — converted at point of settlement |
Fiat and stablecoin conversions
Section titled “Fiat and stablecoin conversions”If you hold stablecoins (USDC, EURC) in a Bridge wallet, TurnStay handles the conversion between fiat and stablecoin automatically when you deposit or withdraw via bank transfer. Stablecoins are pegged 1:1 to their fiat equivalent (USDC = USD, EURC = EUR), so conversions between matching currencies don’t carry FX risk.
